For hundreds of years, leather, fur and animal skin has been considered a luxury, even organic. Leather is now everywhere, in sofas, upholstery, apparel, and furnishings. Some people still believe that leather is merely a byproduct of animals from the dairy industry and are unaware of the brutality that animals endure for their leather hides alone. Top designers use the skins of unborn calves and lambs. Aborted pregnancies in order to obtain a soft, unblemished hide of unborn cows and lambs are common. Unwittingly, people pay premium prices for higher levels of cruelty inflicted upon animals. The purchase of any leather product is supporting animal cruelty and adding to global warming through the extremely high carbon footprint of raising cattle. In our society, influencers, trendsetters, and leaders can help change the behavioral patterns of friends, acquaintances, and others. Enjoy our modern design and comfort while you show others the path to a sustainable, cruelty free lifestyle!

We live in a culture that is used to not valuing natural resources and instead, consume and manufacture products that have toxins, are harmful to the environment and are easily indispensable. The result is that manufacturers of cheap indispensable items harm the environment and deplete natural resources without investing back or renewing natural resources. This process is unethical. Society is harming valuable natural resources and the environment. It is now time to change, value nature and take good care of it at any cost.

“…what if humans designed products and system that celebrates abundance of human creativity, culture and productivity? That are intelligent and safe, our species leaves an ecological footprint to delight in, not lament?”

― Michael Braungart, Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things
